The Amateur Gourmet is a fun food blog that offers lots of recipes, cooking tips and (New York) restaurant reviews.
In his first post - dated Jan 14, 2004 - Adam Roberts described himself thus:
"I'm The Amateur Gourmet: a completely untrained, unaccomplished culinary lout with absolutely no expertise in anything having to do with food. I have an immature palate, an understocked pantry and a penchant for purchasing food that's already been prepared. In my defense, I watch Martha Stewart religiously."
"The Amateur Gourmet" may be 'untrained' but that doesn't matter. Mr. Roberts has a very interesting food blog which he writes with flair.
